Isn't that amazing that they wont have to repay part of the loan after being reassured by BO that it would all be repaid. Never trust a politician but there is nothing new there.

WHAT "Treasury wiped out the companies' common stock and, in Chrysler's case, forced bondholders to take about 29 cents on the dollar for the company's debt" but did no such thing to GM????
Me smells a RAT.

I will never buy a GM car until they are on their own and not owned by the government. GMAC should have been forced into bakruptcy. They were not "Too big to fail".
With all of this debt that the US is accumulating from printing more money, the US is probably on China's "Too big to fail" list.

Enough is enough! GM/GMAC should be forced into bankruptcy with all their assets put on public auction with cash results given (back) to taxpayers. They and their affiliates (unions, dealers, etc.) made their beds and must be made to lay in them.

I thought that if you can't pay back a loan you are foreclosed on. This is what needs to happen if they don't pay back the loan!

GMAC has been launching a mail campaign trying to sell me insurance etc. for the past month. They didn't make me feel warm and fuzzy about doing business with them.

"The main source of GMAC's $10.3-billion loss in 2009 was the ResCap mortgage lending subsidiary. ResCap was an aggressive underwriter of subprime mortgages during the housing bubble that burst in late 2007."
I say let 'em sink.
